Dear {:firstName},

Welcome to your exclusive edition of the Zadel Property Education Newsletter for July!

This month, I have a couple of different focal points which I hope you will find useful and supportive… and not just to your property/investing journey.

Firstly, from a property perspective, we have an exclusive tour at the start of August featuring our one-and-only popular Australian TV Renovator, Cherie Barber. This inspired me to do a little research on our current market, and it led me to an interesting article by the Channel 9 Network. It was titled....

#1. 'Renovation High On Home Owners Agenda'

The article was based on some research conducted by mortgage provider Loan Market who surveyed 532 individuals. They discovered that 37% of all participants, and 38% of Gen-Y’ers were saving their money for a major property renovation – a far greater percentage than any other household item!

Additionally, the research discovered:

  • Gen-Y investors were targeting smaller projects such as units with no backyards.
  • 23% of all respondents were saving for landscaping projects, while only 15% of Gen-Y had this as a priority.
  • Lenders looked favorably on home owners who were borrowing for renovation purposes.

So there you have it... it seems 2014 is proving to be a big year for renovators? Do you want to learn more “strategic & structured” ways that you can inject yourself into this growing market? If so, claim my ‘Free Gift Of The Month’ below - complimentary tickets to see ‘Australia’s Renovation Queen’, Cherie Barber live in a city near you…

#2. Seven Ways To Stay Chemical Free

In the spirit of meaningful change and inspirational movement that has been left hovering over our heads following our 2-Day Property Conference Tour, I wanted to share with you 7 simple ways that you can stay chemical free at home - which I found through ‘Organic Empire’. These are...

  1. Get some house plants - simple, attractive and functional. Grow some of your own ‘fresh air’. Why not plant some herbs on a windowsill - fulfilling two needs, food and oxygen?
  2. Clean your home with time-honored items, such as vinegar, bi-carb soda, lemon juice & essential oils.
  3. Get a filter on your drinking water!
  4. Swap all your plastic bottles and storage containers for glass or stainless steel.
  5. Source some terracotta cookware; it’s such a pleasure to cook with and it looks beautiful to serve up with too.
  6. Read your labels, check your skincare, check your food labels... this is empowerment.
  7. Lastly, but by no means least important, eat organic food whenever you can! Limiting your exposure to ingested chemicals is one of the most important measures you can take to look after your body.

Some food for thought...

I'm not a betting man... I don't believe in it. I only ‘bet’ when I feel really confident I'm going to win ;) However I recently had a $10 bet with my Accountant. I bet him that official interest rates won't rise in Australia by Christmas 2014 & he bet me that they would. My reasoning?

Simple - the world is drowning in debt; it can't afford to pay the interest if rates go up. Secondly, I believe the economy will tank as this will take more purchasing power out of mortgage owners. Less money for discretionary spending equals less transactional taxes which equals less money to pay the governments’ interest on debt. Who do you think will win?

Finally, a quick ZPE business update… I am happy to announce that we’ve finished our mid-year national round of inspirational and memorable 2-Day Property Conferences. I’m always inspired and amazed by the human spirit, and this round was definitely no exception.

A very special thanks to Greg Boundy (CEO, Trees For Life) for attending our Adelaide event. It was an honour to make a contribution to Trees For Life, a non-profit organisation that works tirelessly to restore our natural environment.
