There are major questions about buying, renovating and selling websites. Liz and Matt Raad answers them with Stuart Zadel.

Introduction

Stuart: Hi, guys, and welcome back! This is Stuart with Matt and Liz Raad again. Matt and Liz, how are you doing?

Liz: Very well, thank you.

Stuart: Wonderful. If you’ve watched the first video, you’ll know that Matt and Liz were some of the hit speakers at our one of 10th Anniversary Birthday event with Think and Grow Rich Conference. As a result of that, many people have missed out and asked us to review to them about the strategy and Matt and Liz have a great and very special live webinar with us that you can register for right here below.

Now, before we get there, I wanted to chat with Matt and Liz again. At the event, I’m fielding questions from the audience. There were three or four major questions that might be on your mind about this fantastic strategy about buying, renovating and then potentially selling or holding websites.

So, Matt and Liz, I’m going to fire some questions at you. Are you guys ready to handle it?

Matt and Liz: Absolutely!

Stuart: Okay. So, the first thing is, to a lot of people out there, this might be a new context, it was fantastic, they get it.

Matt and Liz: Yes.

Market Potential

Stuart: What is the scope of the market? I mean, how big is it? Is this a real opportunity today or was that years ago or is it getting bigger? What’s going on?

Liz: Good question.

So, basically, we just discovered this 10 years ago and we’ve been doing it all over that time. We’ve seen the market grow and grow and grow. And the number of website listings that are available have gone into thousands and many thousands. You have to remember this is a worldwide market.

Stuart: Yes.

Liz: So, we’re not just buying Australian websites, we’re buying mostly USA-based websites and getting paid in US Dollars, which is nice. Very nice at the moment.

Matt: The market is huge like the US market. For us, it’s just massive and we can go into a very tight niche websites also to win wonderful ones. Which we will share you some of them on the webinar.

Liz: You’ll be amazed at what you can make money out of.

Matt: But basically, the scope of the market, we will share to you where you buy them. On one of the main spots where we love buying websites, there are thousands of listings every day in one day.

Liz: Yes.

Matt: So, you’re going to know what the peak and that’s what we’re going to show you on the webinar.

Start-up Capitol

Stuart: Look, just one thing I quickly love, I think it’s a great place to store wealth personally that can go around borders, around the world, and also expand wealth which Matt and Liz are going to teach you.

Alright, so now, what sort of money do you need to get involved with these websites?

Matt: This is why we always love getting into websites. And particularly, what we love teaching begins in and also for anyone who wanted to get on their own business, the beautiful thing about websites is you can get started for less than $200 for a real money-making website. So, that’s actually what we recommend where you start.

Start learning the routes how to do this especially if you’re a beginner, there are few things to learn and you can. You don’t have to rush out and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Liz: You don’t have to raise big deposits. Not hundreds of thousands.

Matt: A couple of hundred bucks. And over the years, it’s interesting we’ve been so aware what we many investments. We invest in million dollar businesses but also, with our own website portfolio. We get asked all the time how much we personally spend on websites. These days, we pulled it right down. We found that it works better to buy small websites. We don’t need to be spending hundreds and thousands or millions of dollars.

We’re happy to buy sites that are very small even in the thousands because the cash return is so good.

So, whatever level you’re comfortable with, and us, our thing is about doing it as easy and as stress-free as possible in building our portfolio so whatever works for you. I’ll even buy $500 website if it’s good and if it’s in our niche.

Hours Per Week

Stuart: Okay. So, that brings up the next question then. Time. How much time does someone need to get involved in something like this? I mean, I’ve already got my job, I’ve already got my business, I’ve already got my properties to manage, have I got time to do this?

Liz: Very good question. And certainly, when you’re first learning, you need a couple of hours a week to just get in there and learn how the process works. But our whole system focuses on websites that have as little time involved when it’s possible. So our favourite websites are ones where we might do a quick renovation once a year. And then we might check in on some of them for maybe once a month.

So, yes. The way we structured our strategy and what we look for and what we teach you to look for are those websites that take as little time as possible. Because we’re in this to make money and have freedom without being tied down to your computer all day.

Stuart: Yes. And lifestyle.

Matt and Liz: And lifestyle.

Stuart: The websites pay for?

Matt and Liz: Yes. Of course.

Technical Skills Required

Stuart: Alright. So, another thing; I personally experienced this myself. A little bit of technophobia. So, what if someone out there is not really okay with the internet or computers? Maybe they’re more mature, maybe they’re a little bit scared of technical matters, maybe they didn’t do well at school. Is this something that you can do?

Liz: Good question.

Matt: And that’s often the biggest fear of someone getting into these marketplaces, the biggest perceived fear for us. That’s actually what held us back the most and so if there’s one regret we have in life, it’s that we didn’t jump on to this a lot earlier because it was a lot harder back when we started to do these technical things.

So, since then, we found it just gotten easy and easy. With technology in the way, modern websites are working out to be very easy to learn, and you can pay someone to do it for you. But we still prefer to teach people the actual technical processes and it’s a whole lot easier than what it used to be.

Liz: Well, the good thing is, if you are a technophobe, the way we structured our teaching is to take you right to square. We have people who come in the course who don’t know where emails go.

One particular person I’m thinking of is now scheming a full-time income online purely out of their websites. So that’s pretty cool. It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from. This is actually a chance if you’re feeling worried about all the technical and the change. This is your chance to go right back to square 1 and get that really nice solid foundation in understanding how it works so it’s not so scary anymore and you’re really set up for the future.

Conclusion

Stuart: And I think if you’re listening right now, I think it’s one of the great things to give to your children right now. I think it’s easy enough that you can do this yourself and certainly I have a very keen interest at this right now, some ideas I want to talk to you guys about, some websites I’m in.

But what a gift to give your children? They’re even stronger in the online world, it’s a part of their study and going to school these days. What a business opportunity to teach and present to them?

So, look, this webinar, it could be oversubscribed, but we’ve got capacity for people to jump on there and register and maybe register some other people as well who want to learn this information and you can share it with them as well.

So guys, thanks for your time.

Matt and Liz: Thank you. We’re really looking forward to sharing this with you.

Stuart: Okay. I’m also looking forward seeing you as well and Matt and Liz will be live on this webinar and just register your details again on this page and we’ll be in touch with you about it soon.

Until then, this is Stuart.

Liz: And Liz and Matt.

Stuart: To your success.
