How do you exactly renovate websites? How do you profit from doing so? Matt and Liz Raad introduces the concept in this video.

STUART: Well, Hi guys, and welcome! This is Stuart and I’m excited to bring you two of my newest and dearest friends, Matt and Liz Raad. Matt and Liz, how are you going?

LIZ: Hi! It’s nice to be here. Thanks for having us.

STUART: Pleasure. Matt and Liz were featured guest speakers at the one-off Think and Grow Rich event we ran recently in Sydney to celebrate our 10th Anniversary Birthday. Let me tell you, they were a massive hit. This strategy is just one of the best I know of. It relates to people in property as well as people out of property, and I’m very excited to bring Matt and Liz to you today and a special announcement at the end of this. So Matt and Liz, tell us. What is this strategy?

LIZ: Oh well, it’s very exciting. Many of you know how to do the property strategy of buy-renovate-sale or buy-renovate-hold. What we’ve discovered is a way to do that not with physical property, but with an actual digital property. What we do is buy-renovate-sell or buy-renovate-hold websites. They are the highest cash flow assets we have ever come across. It’s an incredible way to generate more cash flow for yourself and what we do is use that cash flow to support our property habit.

STUART: Absolutely. So the thing that I love about this is that you’re not limited to one geographic area. It’s a dynamic market, and it’s a global market. But let me tell you that until I met you guys, I haven’t heard of this strategy. So, where did you learn it? How did you find out about this?

MATT: Our background is buying and selling traditional bricks and mortar businesses and we’re also business brokers. We’re selling businesses up to $20M and we just love when we discovered that we could do the same with virtual real estate – the same as what we did with bricks and mortar businesses. Except there’s no debt, no staff, long 2-hour commute, and no stock—that’s a big one ‘cause we have lots of businesses and have lots of stock ‘cause we’re in manufacturing.

LIZ: The other thing, compared with property, we didn’t have to take our big mortgages so we could build the whole portfolio debt-free. So that was cool.

MATT: And the cash flows for us were just phenomenal. Our business friends would all look at us and go “Wow.” Just the returns were amazing, the returns on capital for us were just a no-brainer.

STUART: I think another thing is it’s relatively invisible as well to other people.

LIZ: Very few people know this even exists. And we’re one of the few in the world who actually even speak about it at all.

STUART: I don’t know of anyone else personally. Here’s the question then: Can anyone do this? What other skills do you need to learn? I mean, I wouldn’t know where to start.

LIZ: Good question, actually. One of the most common questions is, “I’m not a tech geek, I’m not in that world, can I actually do this?” We have taken people right through, from not knowing where emails go to making a full-time income online. So it is definitely something—certainly for the digital age—these are skills that you need to know anyway.
