Naomi Findlay, Australia’s Rapid Renovation Expert, shares the 21 common property renovation mistakes and her personal advice on how to avoid them.
I remember one of the first properties I ever offered on. I didn’t secure the property, but I was so emotionally involved. I would’ve done nearly anything I could to get that property. But you know what? The old saying is absolutely true. With an increase of emotion, there’s a definite decrease of intelligence.
There’s no room for that when renovating for wealth.
There are so many highs and so many lows during the renovation process that it’s really important that you put some things in place to keep you on an even keel. Make sure you’re making decisions based outcomes and not your emotions.
MY TOP 3 TIPS
First, have a renovation plan and make sure that you stick to it.
Second, always have the target market or the target buyer in mind in every decision you make.
And third, surround yourself with people that will keep you in check. Have them reorient you when they think you’re getting a little too emotionally attached.
