This month, I feel it’s really important that we get back to physical property.
Not just because I think it’s a great vehicle for wealth creation when done properly, but because most people are messing it up right now... and it’s about to get ugly... very ugly!
To that end, I’m thrilled to present a special one-off webinar with famed Property Market Analyst, John Lindeman, on Wednesday 11th May.

Make no mistake, Australia’s inflation rate for the March 2022 quarter came in at 5.1%.
To fight inflation central banks put up interest rates, or the cost of money.
Banks then pass this on to borrowers, and mortgages repayments go up!
And because we have dined out for so many years on the lowest interest rates in history, many people are not prepared for the interest rate tightening cycle ahead.
New Zealand has already had 4 interest rate increases since October 2021, including a 0.5% increase recently, their biggest in 20 years.
MacroBusiness states a 2.75% increase in interest rates over this cycle equates to a 34% increase in mortgage repayments. For the average NZ mortgage owner that’s about a $1,260 increase per month.
If that occurs, a huge number of people will fall into acute mortgage stress. And since wages are not keeping pace with inflation, it’s a double whammy.
Most Australian economists are predicting a rate increase here this June, and up to 1% by the end of this year.
Westpac have suggested a 14% decline in house prices is coming before end of 2024. Many mortgage owners could well find themselves unable to service their loans on a property asset that is worth less than the loan.
If you don’t own or control positive cashflow property, it’s going to become much more difficult to hold property for the average punter, assuming the above comes to pass.
