Is there a science of being great? Stuart Zadel explores that question in this post.
Muhammad. Newton. Jesus. Buddha. Confucius. St Paul. Ts’ai Lun. Columbus. Einstein.
They’re in the top 10 of ‘The 100: A Ranking Of The Most Influential Persons In History.’
But what makes them influential? What makes them great? What makes them relevant?
The author of the book, Michael Hart, created his list based on the influence people had on society. It’s a straightforward method and they’re definitely influential people.
But I believe greatness is in all of us, and here’s other factors that make us influential…
Here’s a quick list of what I think can make us great:
1. GREAT PEOPLE MAKE LONG-TERM COMMITMENTS
If you’ve got grit and you’re willing to commit, I believe you’ll become a master of what you do. Don’t expect success overnight, and you might be pleasantly surprised with how quickly it does come.
What I can recommend is sticking to the commitment you make, just as I’ve done with my business. Now in our 11th year, and more than 50,000 people having attended our live events, I’m still committed to bringing the best, fastest and most relevant income-generating strategies to the marketplace.
2. GREAT PEOPLE PRACTICE WHAT THEY LEARN
Action is everything… In fact, I would go far as to say that imperfect action is everything.
If more of us would just start where we stand, take one step forward and be brave enough to keep walking… it’d be amazing to see the results we can create, and the change we could impact.
Even better, put into action a strategy that you know works… and has a proven result.
3. GREAT PEOPLE EMULATE GREAT PEOPLE
Something I am very passionate about is finding a mentor and spending as much time as you can learning what they know… Your environment is absolutely key to your success.
Case in point: Brendan Elias. He’s the newest expert to join the speaker powerhouse on our upcoming tour. From a young age, Brendan’s been learning the art of importing from his father, who was the original importer of Seiko watches and Donkey Kong games. Those years of being in the right environment and following his ‘mentor’ has paid off as he’s now recognised as one of the world’s leading China Import Experts.
4. GREAT PEOPLE READ – AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY READ EVEN MORE!
There’s more to greatness than you know. In fact, there’s a science to it, and I’ve captured that in my brand new, never-before-released Home Study Program, The Science of Being Great – which consists of a 6-Disc Audio CD Recording Pack (RRP $497) plus a 340-page Workbook with 160 Study Questions & Answers.
Originally released in 1910, The Science of Being Great is the pinnacle of the incredible Wallace D. Wattles’ philosophy. Whereas The Science of Getting Rich resolves your money issues and The Science of Being Well teaches you perfect health – the final capstone in the trilogy, The Science of Being Great reveals how anyone who follows this material may infallibly become great. More than money, what humans want is to become great.
